Conversion of Ammonia to Hydrazine Induced by High?Frequency Ultrasound

چکیده
Hydrazine is a chemical of utmost importance in our society, either for organic synthesis or energy use. The direct conversion NH3 to hydrazine highly appealing, but it remains very difficult task because the degradation thermodynamically more feasible than cleavage N?H bond NH3. As result, any catalyst capable activating will thus unavoidably decompose N2H4. Here we show that cavitation bubbles, created by ultrasonic irradiation aqueous at high frequency, act as microreactors activate and convert NH species, without assistance catalyst, yielding bubble–liquid interface. compartmentation in-situ-produced bulk solution, which maintained close 30 °C, advantageously prevents its thermal degradation, recurrent problem faced previous technologies. This work also points towards path scavenge .OH radicals adjusting concentration.

Homogeneous iron complexes for the conversion of dinitrogen into ammonia and hydrazine.
One of the most challenging problems in small molecule activation is the development of a homogeneous catalyst for converting dinitrogen into ammonia at ambient temperatures and atmospheric pressure. A catalytic cycle based on molybdenum that converts dinitrogen into ammonia has been reported. However, a well defined iron based system for the conversion of dinitrogen into ammonia or hydrazine h...

Financial support: None Conflict of interest: None ABSTRACT Dermatologists have recently been incorporating diagnostic imaging techniques in the investigation of cutaneous lesions. The development of ultrasound devices with a frequency greater than 15MHz has led to the creation of the high-frequency ultrasound (HFUS), which enables the identification of the skin’s different layers and structure...
متن کاملIron oxide cluster induced barrier-free conversion of nitric oxide to ammonia.
Nitrogen oxide (NO) conversion to ammonia (NH3) over iron oxide clusters is investigated using density functional theory calculations. The introduction of NO and H2 over gas-phase Fe4O2 results in the formation of NH3 and H2O without activation barriers. The key reaction is barrier free conversion of NO to N and H2O where the physical origin rests on negative-negative repulsion of NO over iron ...
متن کاملCatalytic transformation of dinitrogen into ammonia and hydrazine by iron-dinitrogen complexes bearing pincer ligand
Synthesis and reactivity of iron-dinitrogen complexes have been extensively studied, because the iron atom plays an important role in the industrial and biological nitrogen fixation. As a result, iron-catalyzed reduction of molecular dinitrogen into ammonia has recently been achieved. Here we show that an iron-dinitrogen complex bearing an anionic PNP-pincer ligand works as an effective catalys...
متن کاملTransport of glutamine by Streptococcus bovis and conversion of glutamine to pyroglutamic acid and ammonia.
Streptococcus bovis JB1 cells energized with glucose transported glutamine at a rate of 7 nmol/mg of protein per min at a pH of 5.0 to 7.5; sodium had little effect on the transport rate. Because valinomycin-treated cells loaded with K and diluted into Na (pH 6.5) to create an artificial delta psi took up little glutamine, it appeared that transport was driven by phosphate-bond energy rather th...
